The Mitsis Blue Domes Resort & Spa, so named for its unique architecture that gives it an authentic atmosphere, is one of the most important and luxurious accommodation facilities in Kos, a Dodecanese island known for its numerous sandy beaches, the archaeological sites and the majestic Greek and Roman monuments.
The landscape of the resort is rich of barren white rocks that descend overhanging bathed by the Aegean sea and surrounded by some green valleys of pine trees. From the entrance of the resort the combination of modern and traditional architecture becomes more evident thanks to the simple design of the Greek style. A complex structure, made up of 10 restaurants, 7 amphitheaters bar, halls, playgrounds and Wellness Spa: a great all-inclusive hotel among big fountains and amphoras, floral arranging and sparkling floors of Greek marble.
In the 499 rooms, including standard, bungalows and villas with private pools, Murano glass lamps by Siru have been installed. Like elegant water drops, the Goccia lamps create soft plays of light that float in the white walls, giving a touch of classic and sensual charm in the hotel’s rooms. The transparent glass, contained by a structure in bronzed steel, was blown by Venetian masters and stamped inside a metal mold that recreated the traditional baloton effect in order to obtain the rich texture with some decorative lozenge pattern.
These lamps, that belong to the Classic collection, are widely installed in bedrooms and in different spaces such as living rooms, studios, outdoor spaces, thanks to their versatility given by the workmanship and the elegant silhouette.
